Illinois medical cannabis patients can finally track their remaining allotment and recent purchases through the state’s Medical Cannabis Patient Registry System. It’s a welcome update, but one that is well overdue for patients navigating the state’s medical program.
The new feature allows patients to review purchases from the past 30 days, including when and where they purchased cannabis, what they purchased, and how much each transaction deducted from their certified allotment limit. Caregivers can also access this information for their associated patients.

To access the feature, visit the Illinois iLogin portal, sign in, and scroll to the bottom of your Patient Dashboard.
Having easy access to purchase history and remaining allotment gives patients more transparency and helps them plan future purchases. These are basic tools that should have been available long ago, especially for patients who rely on medical cannabis as part of their healthcare routine.
While this is a positive step for Illinois patients, it highlights how long it has taken to provide a straightforward feature that makes managing medical cannabis access easier.
We will continue covering developments affecting Illinois cannabis patients and consumers.
