I recently picked up a half ounce of Rainbow Berries from A1ZA, a Michigan brand that has quickly become one of the names I look for when making a trip. I grabbed this jar from Information Entropy in New Buffalo. Rainbow Berries is a Runtz and Strawberry Fritter cross, which had me expecting a sweet, fruity taste, and this one definitely lived up to that.
Upon opening the jar, I immediately picked up a sweet berry and candy like aroma with some creamy and slightly funky notes on the backend. The strawberry really came through on the smell, with that sweet candy like smell I expected. Those fruity flavors carried over nicely to the flavor with a sweet berry taste with a creamy finish and just a little bit of gas on the back coming from the Runtz.
The nugs themselves were great looking. The nugs were dense but still had a nice squishy feel, with a beautiful mix of green tones, orange hairs, and some purple spots popping through. Being kept in a glass half ounce jar, I think it really helped the flower stay fresh and had a nice moisture level that made it easy to break down without feeling dry or crumbly.
The effects were a nice balance of relaxing mental and physical buzz. It started off with a euphoric feeling that put me in a good mood without much couch lock or sedation at first. As it settled in, the body buzz kicked in more along with some yawns that made this a great smoke for winding down later in the day. It had enough of a head high to have my mind wander a bit but while still giving me that relaxed feeling I look for when smoking in the evening.
Overall, Rainbow Berries is a solid offering from A1ZA. The nice mix of the sweet berry flavor, creamy and gassy notes, beautiful looking buds, and solid effects made this a jar I keep reaching for throughout the past couple weeks. A1ZA is a brand that is impressing me with this being my 2nd grab from them.. If you’re a fan of fruity, candy like strains and dont mind a little premium price for better quaility, Rainbow Berries is definitely one I’d recommend checking out.
