The second you break the seal on this half-ounce of Limehead, a wave of loud, puckering sour citrus candy comes rushing out of the jar. I picked this up directly from Information Entropy’s newer New Buffalo location, and this batch is a great example of what Michigan house-grown flower can look like when a grower gets the fundamentals right.
That first blast of tart, candied lime hits the nose with serious intensity, but underneath all that citrus is a deep layer of skunky gas. It is a combination that immediately lets you know Limehead has plenty more going on than just a pretty terpene profile.
Limehead is a sativa-dominant cross of Lime and Headband, and for me, it lives up to the kind of daytime reputation you would expect from that combination. This is the type of flower I could see reaching for when I have things to get done, whether that means working, creating content, or simply staying productive throughout the day.
This was only my second visit to the New Buffalo Information Entropy location, and I was able to take advantage of my 50% off Information Entropy product discount. That brought this $99 half-ounce down to roughly half the original price, making the jar an even easier pickup.
One of my biggest frustrations when shopping for half-ounces and ounces in Illinois is the quality of the flower you often get at those larger quantities. Too many times, you open the container to find popcorn buds that have been remediated, dried out and reduced to something that practically turns to dust the second you put it through a grinder.
That was absolutely not the case here.
The first thing that caught my attention, aside from the immediate punch of lime and gas coming from the jar, was the size and structure of the buds. These were thick, beautifully trimmed nugs with plenty of density and visual appeal. And once I started pulling the larger buds out, I found the smaller ones sitting at the bottom of the jar were ridiculously sticky.
I mean really sticky.
A few of them actually clung to the bottom of the jar hard enough that I could flip it upside down and they stayed put. We’re talking DQ Blizzard levels of stickiness.
This batch was harvested on July 20, 2026, giving the flower plenty of time for drying and curing before making its way into consumers’ hands. The label lists the batch at 26.78% total THC.
For me, though, the numbers are only part of the story. What stood out much more was how the flower actually looked, smelled and handled once I opened the jar.
I broke down the flower using my 3.5-inch Flower Mill and rolled it up in my usual OCB Bamboo papers. The stickiness I noticed in the jar carried straight through to the grind.

Instead of exploding into a pile of dry, dusty material, the flower broke down into a nice, workable consistency that made rolling incredibly easy. There was none of that frustrating struggle you sometimes get with overly dry flower that refuses to stay together.
Even on the initial dry hit, that sour lime candy flavor immediately came through. The citrus was followed by those darker skunky and diesel-like undertones, giving the profile a nice balance between sweet, sour and gassy.
The onset comes on quickly, with the first noticeable sensation settling right behind the eyes. From there, Limehead delivers a head-forward experience that keeps the energy moving without completely leaving the body behind.
The effects are focused and functional for me, with enough mental lift to keep me engaged without feeling overly scattered. There is a lighter body presence underneath the cerebral effects, which helps keep the experience balanced.
The comedown is gradual rather than abrupt, and I never got that feeling of suddenly hitting a wall at the end. Instead, the effects slowly taper off and leave you with a much more manageable landing.
For me, this is a true working jar. Morning sessions, getting through a workday, creating content, cleaning the house, working on a project or just having a productive day, Limehead fits naturally into those situations.
Limehead is definitely going back on my list for a future pickup.
Between the loud sour-lime candy nose, the skunky gas underneath it, the impressive nug structure and the ridiculous stickiness, this half-ounce delivered on the quality side from the moment I opened the jar to the last hit.
More importantly, this is exactly the kind of flower I wish we saw more often when buying larger quantities. Give me big, properly cured, flavorful and sticky buds over a half-ounce of dry popcorn any day of the week.
