Is Flora Arbor Craft Zip Line Worth It? Disco Fries Strain Review Illinois

Illinois has a ton of bulk options from MSOs, but the issue with those bulk brands is that you are often paying 200 dollars for an ounce of popcorn or “fruity pebble” buds that break down into dust. Thankfully, we are now seeing craft growers in Illinois stabilize their supply to better meet demand. Because of that, we are getting new SKUs like bulk lines such as Flora Arbor Craft’s Zip Line, which offers shake and whole flower from quarters all the way up to full ounces at more affordable prices, with quality buds that stay fresh and deliver the experience you are looking for.

Today, I am breaking into a bag of Disco Fries from the quarter Zip Line. This is an indica leaning cultivar, a cross of 5 Alive and Double Burger. This batch was harvested on August 25, 2025, and packaged on December 18, 2025. As always, it has not been remediated, so you are getting flower that has not been heat treated to pass testing. The results come in at 26.93 percent total cannabinoids and 2.70 percent total terpenes.

When I cracked open the bag, it hit immediately, like aroma bombs going off, bringing flashbacks of Mafia Funeral from Redemption in Michigan. There is a strong floral presence layered with slight menthol undertones and sweet fruity notes on the backend. The nugs were all larger than a quarter with a nice spongy texture, coated in trichomes and showing subtle purple hues throughout.

After breaking the nugs down with my stainless steel Flower Mill, I was left with a fluffy, fresh pile that was not dry or dusty like some High Supply or Savvy batches can be. The floral and menthol notes really opened up during the grind. I rolled up in a bamboo OCB paper, sparked it, and got into it.

On the initial dry pull, that menthol flavor comes through clearly, paired with a light floral note that instantly reminded me of Mafia Funeral, one of my all time favorites from Michigan. That had me excited to see how it translated into the full experience.

The smoke was smooth and easy with no harshness or throat irritation. The flavor stayed consistent, with the floral notes shining through from start to finish.

While this is an indica leaning cultivar, I would not call it overly sedative. This is not something you have to avoid during the daytime. It is a relaxing smoke that helps you slow things down without putting you out of commission. It brings a calm, easygoing feeling without heaviness in the shoulders or that anxious weight in your chest. If you are looking for a relaxing midday indica leaning hybrid, Disco Fries is definitely one to check out.

For me, this might be one of my new favorite strains from Flora Arbor Craft, alongside their Hawaiian Rain crossed with Permanent Marker. It is a flavorful and enjoyable smoke with effects that are perfect for staying productive while still taking the edge off, especially on a rainy day.
