Recently, during a shift at work, I got called back to help with a delivery, which ended up being a Redemption drop that included a fresh Preferred Gardens release. The one that stood out to me most while counting was Pearlz because, just like the name, every bud in the bag looked like a perfect little pearl, and the candy notes were bursting through immediately.
So here I am with a half ounce of Preferred Gardens Pearlz, an indica leaning hybrid cross between Zoap x Lazer Gun. When I cracked open the pack, I was hit with a strong floral citrus and candy aroma, backed by a soapy undertone that really tickled my nose. This batch was harvested on February 13th, 2026 and packaged on April 9th, 2026, and the freshness definitely shows. For those curious about the numbers, it’s testing at 21.77 percent THC and 1.96 percent terpenes, with the top terpenes being limonene, beta caryophyllene, and linalool.
The bag was filled with beautifully trimmed nugs that had great structure, with deep purple hues popping throughout. After running it through my Flower Mill, it broke down into a fluffy, sticky consistency that was perfect for rolling up a nice fat doobie.
On the dry pull, those floral citrus flavors came through nicely with that same pleasant soapy undertone. Once I sparked it up, the smoke stayed consistent all the way through, delivering citrusy candy terps from start to finish. The effects hit nicely in the neck and shoulders, giving a relaxing feel without knocking me out. This is the kind of strain I’d reach for when gaming or just hanging out with friends and keeping things chill.
I’ll definitely grab this again if I catch it on sale. It actually knocked Preferred Gardens Snackz down to number two for me, with Pearlz taking the top spot. If you’re looking for true premium flower in Illinois, I highly recommend Preferred Gardens. I’m stoned as hell.
