Today I am back with another jar from Superflux, a brand that has been consistently impressing me across the different 4-gram, 2-gram, and 1-gram jars I’ve picked up recently. This time I was browsing the Windy City Cannabis medical menu in Posen and saw they had Lemon Cream Cookies in a 4-gram bucket, so I had to order it and give it a try.
The pickup at Windy City was smooth, and I had some points saved up that brought my 4-gram jar down to $75 out the door, which is an absolute steal for Illinois prices. It’s also another good reason I always suggest getting your medical card to save money on those high taxes when shopping at dedicated medical dispensaries.
As soon as I got home, I grabbed the box out of the bag to check out the details of this strain. Everything was laid out neatly on the box and even on the jar lid, so you can toss the box and still know exactly what’s in your jar. Lemon Crème Cookies is a sativa-leaning cultivar that is a cross between Lemon Tree x Dosidos, with this batch testing at 90.87% THC and 7.56% total terpenes. What’s also nice is that they list the top three terpenes on the back. For this batch we have Limonene, β-Caryophyllene, and β-Myrcene.
When I cracked open the jar, I saw exactly the consistency I want from a terpene-rich sugar. It had a nice, workable level of wetness that didn’t leave the concentrate sliding off the tool while waiting to dab. The aroma was a strong lemon nose with rich vanilla undertones that really tickled the sinuses.
As always, I played around with different temperatures to see what worked best for this batch. For me, 475–480°F was the sweet spot for big clouds and even bigger flavor. If you’re someone like me who is chasing those lemon terps, this strain is definitely for you because that rich citrus tang lingers long after the rip. The high comes on with an almost immediate rush of euphoria, leaving you feeling uplifted and giggly. This would be perfect for a picnic or even ripping a quick dab in the car before heading into a comedy show. It’s the kind of strain that can have you feeling great for just about any occasion.
Overall, this is definitely another winner in my book from Superflux, and I’ll be keeping my eyes open for more drops in the future.
