Illinois cannabis brand 93 Boyz is stepping deeper into community care with the launch of its Free Smoke Medical Program, an initiative aimed at helping adults who depend on cannabis for medical relief but are facing serious health and financial challenges.
Founded by Chicago artist and activist Vic Mensa, 93 Boyz has positioned itself as more than just a product line. With this new program, the brand is focusing directly on access, recognizing that for many patients, cannabis is not a luxury, but part of their day to day wellness routine.
The Free Smoke Medical Program was created in partnership with Soul & Wellness and is open to Illinois residents 21 and older who are navigating ongoing medical conditions while experiencing economic hardship. Applications are reviewed quarterly, and selected participants are contacted after each review cycle. Those interested can apply through 93 Boyz social media pages or by completing a short online form.
Beyond product assistance, the program also emphasizes education. Participants will have access to informational sessions, medical guidance, and wellness focused classes designed to promote responsible and informed cannabis use. The goal is not just short term support, but long term empowerment through knowledge and community connection.
93 Boyz is widely recognized as Illinois’ first legally Black owned cannabis brand, and initiatives like this reinforce its mission to reinvest in the communities that have historically been most impacted by cannabis prohibition. By addressing both affordability and education, the Free Smoke Medical Program represents a step toward more equitable access to plant based care in the state.
