A couple months ago, one of Michigan’s top brands, Wojo, put out a new product that definitely caught my eye, WSO or Wojo Solventless Oil. WSO is Wojo’s take on RSO (Rick Simpson Oil) but in a more versatile form. With WSO, you aren’t limited to ingesting it or applying it topically like RSO but you can also dab, smoke, and vape it as well, similar to Aeriz’s Full Spectrum Hash Oil. To create the WSO, Wojo uses a blend of their indoor grown hash rosin with no cuts or fillers, all made single source and in house. As someone who consumes most of their cannabis through dabbing, this was a product I definitely wanted to try out and I was able to get my hands one on at Timber Cannabis in New Buffalo a couple weeks ago.
Not to start off on the negative but my only real complaint with this WSO came down to the dispenser. While it works and gets the job done, I would personally love to see this product offered in a Dablicator style dispenser. I like being able to twist the plunger back slightly after each use so the oil pulls back into the base instead of sitting in the tip. With this dispenser, getting the right dose was a little trickier than I’d like, as the oil would slowly continue to come out if I didn’t get the rubber cap back on right away. It’s not a dealbreaker by any means, but a different dispenser would make an already solid product even better. That being said, the dispenser they used was 10 times better than a basic syringe like a lot of RSO’s come in and the oil was easy to dispense with no issues twisting the knob throughout its use.

Flavor wise, this WSO really tasty when eaten. Each “click” of the knob when twisting dispenses 5mg of THC. There was a fairly strong and bright, lemony citrus flavor, without tasting artificial or bitter. When dabbed, the flavor is a bit more muted in comparison, but it’s still very present and enjoyable, you still get a lot of lemony citrus notes, just not as pungent. The dab was clean and was just right around 450 degrees leaving just a slight puddle of oil in my banger that I was able to reheat for another cloudy but not as flavorful dab.
Effects were where this really stood out for me. This WSO gave off a great high that hit both mentally and physically without feeling too racy mentally or couch locking physically. It started with a nice uplifting and mood elevating euphoria and mentally focusing high, followed by a calming body buzz that helped melt away tension without completely locking me to the couch unless I wanted it to.
Overall, Wojo’s WSO is a solid addition to their lineup and does exactly what it sets out to do. I would change the dispenser, but it had an enjoyable lemon zest flavor, and balanced, long lasting effects. It’s a product that I’ll probably keep in my rotation and pick up every so often to change this up a little. If you’re into solventless extracts and like having multiple ways to consume, this is definitely one worth checking out.
