In this review, I’ll be cracking into Black Cherry Buffs, a new hybrid strain that Flora Craft is launching in the Illinois market. For those who have been following me, you probably know I’m a big fan of Tropicana Cherry terps, and this strain is right up that alley. A cross of Super Buff Cherry x Lemon Cherry Fire, it delivers a unique nose and flavor profile that sets it apart.

What’s in the Jar
Opening the jar revealed four beautifully trimmed nugs with light green hues accented by deep purples. Frosted trichomes coated the surface, while orange pistils hugged the flower. The nose offered a sweet and earthy aroma with citrusy hints and cherry undertones, almost like a pink lemonade mixed with berries.
The Roll-Up
I reached for my trusty Flower Mill and OCB Brown Rice papers for this session. The buds weren’t overly sticky at first touch, but once broken apart, the inner moisture came alive. After a quick spin through the Flower Mill, I was left with a sticky, fluffy pile of flower that rolled up easily.
Dry hits brought forward strong notes of citrus and berries. Once lit, the smoke carried an earthy flavor paired with citrus-sweet berry tones. The ash burned clean and white, making for a smooth and enjoyable session from start to finish, no harshness, no coughs.
The Effects
This strain truly lives up to its hybrid classification. It offers pain relief while still keeping you uplifted and motivated. Expect to feel social, giggly, and mentally active, all while soothing minor pain or inflammation.
Stoner tip: keep your munchies close, the cravings creep up fast.
