Today, I’m diving into a jar of Sherb Cream Pie Live Rosin from Melted Magic Solventless. I picked this up during my first visit to Trap Stars in New Buffalo, Michigan, located right off Route 12. Two things drew me in: a 50% first-time patient discount through Weedmaps (excluding rosin) and the chance to finally try Melted Magic, a brand highly recommended by friends and subscribers. I had to see if the hype was real.
This 5g jar goes for $50 before tax, breaking down to an incredible $10 per gram. The packaging is clean and simple, nothing flashy, but it gets the job done. Inside, the rosin has a beautiful tan color and a perfect badder-like consistency. It isn’t dry at all, making it extremely easy to scoop and work with. For this price point, the quality is exceptional and easily competes with products I’ve seen going for $30 a gram in Michigan.

Cracking the jar releases a complex wave of aromas. It’s a fascinating mix of spicy and sweet with savory, tart notes. I picked up hints of pine, nutmeg, and even a little bit of dill, layered over a chocolatey base reminiscent of a Tootsie Roll, all tied together with undertones of sweet cream and vanilla.
I found this rosin dabs best around 480°F, using my standard bucket banger with a Dab Rite to monitor the temperature. It melted cleanly, leaving only a very light residue behind. The flavor directly translates from the aroma; the initial hit is dominated by sweet cream and vanilla with an underlying doughy quality, finishing with a slight chocolate tone on the exhale.

For those unfamiliar with the genetics, Sherb Cream Pie is a cross of Ice Cream Cake and Sherb BX1, giving it a unique terpene profile that delivers heavy-hitting effects. The high is fantastic for unwinding, starting with an uplifting and happy cerebral buzz before settling into a deep, full-body relaxation. It’s the perfect companion for a day off, kicking back after work, or just sinking into the couch for a movie. While incredibly calming, it doesn’t lead to heavy sedation unless you take a larger dab, making it potentially great for pain relief or as a sleep aid.

For this review and all future ones, I will be using the Terp Tracker’s 30-point rating system.
- Flavor: 7/10
- Effects: 8/10
- Quality: 6.5/10
Overall: 21.5
