Review: Local Grove Guava Peach Single Source Cold Cured Hash Rosin

Continuing our exploration of local Michigan cannabis products, today we’re diving into some Guava Peach Single Source Cold Cured Hash Rosin from Local Grove. This strain, a cross between Strawguava and Peach Pie, promises a rich terpene profile. I picked this up during a recent visit to Urb in New Buffalo, Michigan, taking advantage of their Waxy Wednesday deals.

My initial experiences at Urb shortly after they opened weren’t ideal, encountering older products. However, my more recent trips, including this one, have been much better, featuring fresher batches. This particular rosin was produced in December 2024, and credit to Urb, they store their concentrates properly in fridges, which is crucial for preserving quality.

Looking at the details, this batch boasts a total of 5.5% terpenes and clocks in at a potent 83.65% total cannabinoids.

Upon cracking open the jar, I was greeted by a beautiful, light gold color. The consistency was wet but not overly greasy, best described as a nice batter or butter. It was incredibly easy to work with, making it versatile for dabbing or even rolling into a hash hole.

The aroma was delightful, carrying the distinct scent of fresh peach skin layered with a pleasant, fruity guava tang underneath. This translated beautifully into the flavor when dabbed at 480°F in my Marcus P Glass mini recycler. The hit was smooth and clean, leaving no dark residue and causing no harshness on the back of the throat, unlike some concentrates can.

Overall, I was very impressed with the experience. The effects started with a pleasant head high that felt sociable and giggly, transitioning into a touch of creativity on the backend. I definitely noticed the munchies kicking in, so if you’re looking for something to stimulate appetite, this strain is worth considering.

Overall, I was very impressed with this product from Local Grove and will certainly be exploring more of their offerings in the future. Highly recommended!
