Strain Review: Guava Jamz Rosin by Peninsula Gardens

For this week’s Waxy Wednesday, I decided to branch out and try a few new brands. One standout was Guava Jamz by Peninsula Gardens , a Michigan-based cultivator that’s been generating some buzz, and now I see why.

First Impressions:

Opening the jar, I was immediately greeted by a pungent, almost rank aroma, like overripe fruit with a musky edge. Beneath that funk, notes of tart cherry and a sweet, cakey finish came through. It’s one of those smells that catches you off guard at first but keeps pulling you back in.

Wet, Badder consistency

Texture & Consistency:

The rosin itself was a moist, wet badder, super easy to scoop with a tool, making it ideal for dabbing or even rolling up a donut. It had that perfect balance of density and spreadability that hash heads love.

Flavor & Effects:

I dabbed this at 490°F and was hit with a mouthwatering tart cherry flavor up front, followed by an earthy, musky undertone that lingered long after the exhale. The effects kicked in quickly, starting with a heavy, heady high that settled behind the eyes. Within minutes, I felt my whole body relax, making this strain a go-to for unwinding after work or winding down before bed.

Final Thoughts:

Guava Jamz is another reminder that Michigan’s solventless scene is not to be slept on. Peninsula Gardens delivered a standout product that checks all the boxes: unique nose, smooth flavor, strong effects, and a dialed-in consistency. I’d definitely pick this up again.

Rating: 9/10, A couch lock-worthy glob for sure.
