What’s up, everybody? Today, I am back cracking into my second jar of Melted Magic Solventless, which I picked up from Trap Stars in New Buffalo, Michigan. This time, I’ll be diving into a 5-gram jar of their Tangie live rosin, a cross of California Orange×Skunk−1. If you didn’t see my review of their Sherb Cream Pie Live Rosin, make sure to check that one out too!
If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I love my Tangie strains, so when they listed this as an option, I had to grab it. I was super happy with the jar appeal when I got back home and cracked it open. To break down today’s review, I will be using my Terp Tracker and will include an image at the bottom of the page filled out for you to see.
This batch had a wonderful badder consistency with a nice grease to it. It wasn’t dried out like you find with some budget rosins; even some “premium” rosins don’t look or smell this good right off the bat. The texture was easy to scoop, with a perfect cakey and batter-like feel.

When you crack open the jar, you are immediately hit with that classic Tangie aroma, sweet and tart with a nice floral funkiness. After a bit, you get that distinct tangerine and orange aroma, almost like the zest of an orange peel with a slight orange-blossom floral note. While some Tangie strains can be heavy on the skunky side, the funk here is present but not overpowering.
I’ve been dabbing this one at 475°F on my mini recycler from Marcus Reed Glass, using my standard bucket from Bear Quartz Glass and monitoring the temperature with my Dab Rite. At this temp it leaves a very light residue in my banger, nothing dark or hard to clean, and delivers an enjoyable, smooth flavor.

The effects that follow are a nice, uplifting, and happy high that will give you a bit of the munchies, so make sure to have your favorite snacks on hand. If you’re looking for something to dab at an event that will make you talkative instead of leaving you “Couch Lock’d,” this would be the strain for you. The high is more clear than foggy, making it something you could use on a lunch break if needed and still be able to get work done.
