On a recent trip to Timber Cannabis Co. in New Buffalo, I picked up a jar of Sweet Berry Wine Live Rosin from 710 Labs, a cross between Monkey Berries and Rick Jamez, and something that admittedly caught my eye due to the strain name. 710 Labs has a reputation for being one of the more premium rosin brands in Michigan, as well as most markets they operate in, and that reputation usually comes with a higher price. While it’s definitely on the pricier side, I’ll grab a 710 jar or vape from time to time to treat myself.

This first thing I noticed was its consistency. It being my only real complaint about this jar and this is more of a personal preference than a complaint. It had a shatter like texture, which made it pretty difficult to work with, especially when trying to get a decent sized dab out of the jar. I left it out at room temperature hoping it would budder up a bit and become easy to work with, but it honestly took almost a full week to show any noticeable change. By the time it finally started to soften, I was already down to my last dab or two of the jar.

Aroma wise, this one wasn’t as pungent as I expected. There was still a pleasant mix of sweet and gassy notes on the nose, but nothing overly pungent when first cracking the jar. That wasn’t the case with the flavor. Off the first dab, the taste really popped much stronger than the smell, with a strong gassiness and a sweet berry like notes that instantly reminded me of Runtz (it helped that I’m currently smoking on a jar of Runtz by IE).

Effects wise, it was very potent, something I’ve come to expect from 710. It gave off a balanced high that started with a euphoric and mood elevating mental buzz before settling into a calming, relaxing, and soothing body high that was a perfect way to melt into the couch without it being too overly sedating, but it definitely was a good dab for some stress relief after a long day rather than a “get stuff done” strain.
Overall, Sweet Berry Wine Live Rosin wasn’t my favorite by 710 Labs but still had great flavor and strong effects, even if the consistency wasn’t quite what I was looking for. While the shatter like consistency made it harder to work with and took longer than expected to budder up, the gassy, sweet berry flavor still made this a solid grab. If you’re already a fan of 710 Labs or don’t mind a harder consistency, this is definitely a jar worth checking out especially if you’re into Runtz like terp profiles.
