A Premium Dispensary Experience in New Buffalo: Visiting to Information Entropy

Last week I found myself with a weekday off work and a perfect opportunity to head up to South West Michigan, one of my favorite Midwest spots to visit with a lot of personal roots to the area. I made a stop in New Buffalo, or as some have come to call it “New Puffalo” to take advantage of the vast amount of dispensaries for seemingly some of the best deals in the state (and country) while only having a population of about 1,800 people. While there are literally about 30 different dispensaries to choose from in this area, I kept hearing about Information Entropy as being one of the spots that really does have premium products so I decided to give it a go and make a stop.

Upon entering the building, I was greeted by a very friendly budtender at the front check in desk, he got me all signed in and confirmed it was my first time in and let the budtender that would be taking care of me in the show room as well to ensure I got my first time freebies. I immediately noticed that everything was clean, organized and easy to browse around to see what they had in stock. My first stop was at the concentrates, which is normally my first stop at any dispensary. They had each brand they carried grouped together behind a glass display case and I was easily able to see everything they had. I knew from looking at the online menu beforehand that they had some of the new True North Baller jars that I was looking for and told the budtender right away that I would be grabbing the Snowberry Runtz jar while I checked out what strains of rosin they had from their house brand. There wasn’t a huge variety of options but all were fresh and I saw they had an Original Z that I knew that I had to grab. As far as the selection of other concentrates, it wasn’t huge like some other dispensaries around that seem to carry thousands or jars at a time, but everything I saw was fresh and from brands that I knew as more premium at a decent price.

I then went to check out the flower, I was amazed to see that on the paper menu, I was able to see harvest dates of each strain they had available, which is something I’ve never seen before but very welcomed. During this stop I decided to hold off on flower but not due to nothing catching my eye but being at the beginning of my trip and something told me I’d be back the next day. Before leaving the Budtender grabbed me my first time freebie which was 2 packs of gummies both at 200mg per bag, one being the Cherry Yuzu Rosin gummies and the other being the Wild Berry RSO gummies, the budtender did warn about the RSO gummies being a bit more potent than regular gummies, something that I loved hearing from them as educating consumers is one of the best ways to get repeat clients. They also included an educational pamphlet that gave their story and why they believe in the products they carry, along with 2 coupons inside for 50% off and Information Enthropy product and a free one on your 3rd visit Before leaving, I remembered needing to grab one of the RSO syringes as well that I was able to get at a steal for $15 for a 2 gram syringe.

Wanting to take advantage of the 2nd visit coupon and also having some FOMO about the flower that I didn’t end up grabbing, I made my way back the next day for another visit. This time the budtender that checked me in was my budtender in the showroom and he was everything I wanted out of a buntender. He was overall just pleasant, friendly and genuinely seemed happy to be there while having recommendations when I wanted them but also let me browse, encouraged smelling and checking everything out that I wanted to see, and even went to the back fridge to grab me another jar of the Snowberry Runtz that they were out of up front. I ended up grabbing that and a half ounce of their Mandarin Z, which was by far some of the most beautiful and amazing smelling flower I’ve grabbed from a dispensary in a while.

Overall, I’d say this was definitely one of the more “premium” experiences I’ve had at a dispensary from a great staff to amazing products. The rosin and flower I grabbed from the was definitely top tier stuff, but don’t expect some of the crazy deals on them that you might see at other Michigan spots, especially in New Buffalo. But if you’re someone that truly wants only the best when it comes to their cannabis, Information Entropy is definitely a dispensary that you need to make a stop at.
